I am not sure what size storage unit I need. How do I figure it out?
Ideally, you want to use the square footage you pay for in the most efficient way possible. Our storage estimator can give you a good idea of what you need. One of our courteous storage consultants can help you fine tune the process to choose the best unit for you.
Do I need a reservation?
We recommend making a reservation, either online, or with an on-site manager. It is the best way to ensure that you get the space you both need and want. To cancel a reservation, just call the office.
How long is the leasing commitment?
Keepers leases units on a month-to-month basis, so you have the flexibility to make changes as necessary. We encourage you to notify us no less then 5 days before you plan to vacate the unit. To avoid paying an extra month's rent, it is essential you empty the space on or before the final day of the rental agreement.
How do I pay?
You may pay your bill online, set up an automatic payment plan with a major credit card, mail a check to 2577 Forest Ave., Staten Island, NY, 10303, or drop by the office with cash, check, or a major credit card.
What other requirements are there to lease a storage unit?
Yes, you must present a valid, government-issued photo ID when you sign the leasing agreement. In addition, insurance is required for stored goods. Many renter and homeowner policies cover storage. If your policy does, simply bring in the declaration page at rental. If not, we partner with a reputable provider to offer our clients affordable tenant insurance.
Do you sell packing supplies on-site?
We carry everything you need to pack it up right, from boxes and bubble wrap, to labels and tape. We sell locks, too.
Does Keepers rent moving trucks?
We rent U-Haul trucks and vans. You can make a reservation in our leasing office.
Do you hold auctions at your Staten Island location?
Periodically, Keepers Self Storage Staten Island conducts auctions of the contents of units on accounts that are in default of payment. These events are open to the public. Check with our leasing office for updates on future bidding opportunities.
